The Transavia PL-12 Airtruk was designed and built  by the Transavia Corporation of Australia between April 1965 and 1993.  It was developed from the Bennett Airtruck.  There were 118 built. There were several variations of Airtruk but it’s claim to fame was as an AG plane.

An Airtruck is a single engine, land, utility aircraft. It is powered by a 300 HP Rolls Royce Continental Tiara 6-320-2B piston engine.

The aircraft seats the pilot well above and has room for 2 passengers aft in the tail.  It has a tricycle gear.  There were several versions of the Transavia Airtruk designed by Luigi Pellarini.

The PL-12 was in featured in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome  1985, with Mel Gibson and Tina Turner.
